SeeYourBox at “Deathmatch”, Start-ups versus Investors!

Last October, See Your Box took part in a meeting  organised by Fondazione CRT (www.fondazionecrt.it) called Deathmatch, in which start-up companies presented in person to some italian investors.

We suggest 6 very useful lessons were identified from this experience:

1. Federico Capello, See Your Box:
“You have to look for direct contact with people and be available to learn from them. At the same time, you have to be willing to share your know-how. Only in this way we can create a strong network”

2. Pierluigi Freni, Sherlock Bike:
“Choose the people in your team carefully, because you will share lots of hard times and work with them.”

3. Stefano Sbarbati, European Found Raising :
“Work to make concrete progress, only in this way will opportunities start showing up.”

4. Alberto Giusti, 42Accelerator:
“Remember that the value of an idea is created: 50% by the team; 30% by the industry in which it takes place; 10% by its defensibility and only 10% by the idea itself.”

5. Antonello Bartiromo, dPixel:
“There are lots of start-up companies with beautiful ideas that ask for money, the problem is that often their beautiful ideas answer problems that do not exist!"

6. Stefano Azzalin, Sellalab:
“Do not be put off by this historical period, because it is full of opportunities! 20 years ago the choices were less, you graduated  from University and had the same job in the same company for all your life. Today you can do anything! This is an amazing opportunity; take advantage of it!"
